IMPACT EFFICIENT STOVE

SSM and its partner are making a different through carbon-finance projects

THE PROBLEM

The use of open fires and solid fuels for cooking is one of the world’s most pressing health and environmental problems, directly impacting close to half the world’s population and causing nearly 4 million premature deaths each year. Women and children are mostly affected by this massive global challenge, suffering from toxic smoke, time poverty, and consequences of deteriorating environments.

CLEAN COOKING AS A KEY DRIVER OF SDG SUCCESS

SSM and its partner are making a different through carbon-finance projects that distributing clean and efficient cookstoves. Good result are transforming the way the world cooks, saving lives, improving livelihoods, empowering women, and protecting the environment.

Sustainable Development Goals

Improved cookstove can save time (that can be devoted to income-generating tasks) and money to end poverty.

Time savings can be used for growing foods and the money can be for buying the food to end hunger and increasse the safety.

Contribute to the reduction of indoor air pollution (smoke, particulate matter, and carbon monoxide), then improve the health.

Cook faster and save fuel & money, enabling the children have time and money on education instead of cooking.

Using a more efficient cookstove allows women to spend their time on more productive tasks than cooking and collecting fuels.

Access to cleaner and fuel-efficient cooking appliances.

One SSM32-X can reduce GHG emissions by up to 4.5 tons of CO2 per year to combat climate.

Efficient cookstove can save fuel to reduce the deforestation and improve the ecosystems.
